Terms of Service
Last updated: April 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CHOS church management platform (the "Service") operated by CHOS ("us", "we", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CHOS provides a cloud-based platform for church administration, including but not limited to people management, service planning, volunteer scheduling, attendance tracking, giving management, and communication tools. We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.
2. Accounts
To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are creating an account on behalf of a church or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and renew automatically unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period.
We may change subscription fees with at least 30 days' prior notice. Continued use of the Service after a fee change takes effect constitutes your agreement to the new fee. Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
4. Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including member records, attendance data, giving records, service plans, and any other content ("Your Data"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and process Your Data solely to provide and improve the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your collection and use of personal data through the Service complies with all applicable privacy laws and regulations, including obtaining any necessary consents from the individuals whose data you store.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use the Service for any purpose other than church or organizational management
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the property of CHOS and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written permission.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or contain links to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.
8. Termination
You may close your account and stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued provision of the Service is no longer commercially viable.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain Your Data for a reasonable period to allow you to export it, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CHOS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
